Evolution Soccer Shoes (Part 1): The period before 1940

Hello everyone, today i will share about Evolution of Soccer Shoes I : The period before 1940. Watch it.

thumbnail
Reportedly soccer shoes were first made by a craftsman personal shoe empire named Cornelius Johnson in 1525 on orders King of England at the time, King Henry the eighth. The cost of making shoes is said to cost four shillings, equivalent to £ 100 today.

Not much is known of this kingdom soccer shoes because documentation is very limited and there is no evidence that preserved until now. But this so-called shoe leather hard, with more than ankle high and are much heavier than the current football boots.

Advanced to three hundred years into the future when football began more popular in the UK, football shoes began to be used en masse by the people there. During the 1800s, the football is often played between teams representing local factories and villages in England.

The players from the teams factory and village using his shoe to match. These shoes are made from tough hardened skin, with a long rope knot up above the ankle. At the end of her shoes are steel plates, while the bottom of the shoe being too slippery to use material from steel that is plugged in, even some that use tacks.

Organization of English football then stood in 1863. FA was followed by the emergence of numerous rules in the game of football, including the use of shoes. At its inception, another FA ban any use of studs / cleats (snooker / spikes on the bottom of the shoe).

Rule no. 13 FA now reads: "No one is wearing nails, iron plates or gutta percha on the soles of his shoes are allowed to play." The rationale behind this rule is to reduce injury to the players.

But in 1891 this rule revision by the FA in which the use of snooker finally allowed for use in leather and no longer than one and a half inches. snooker is also prohibited pointy toes and cones, have a round, and its diameter is not more than one and a half inches.

After the emergence of the FA, people in the UK when it began using the shoes in a team uniform. The impact of the revised regulations also broke snooker, football players no longer wearing work boots are "transformed" into football boots, they are now using the appropriate soccer shoes FA regulations.

Nevertheless, the main ingredient which is a thick leather boots and hard not changed, so weighing at least 500 grams. This material makes the shoes will be twice as heavy when playing in the rain, especially if the shoes had worn six snooker.

New football boots have evolved again around 1900. At this time, manufacturers of football boots began to appear, such as Gola (1905), Valsport (1920) and the Danish shoemaker football, Hummel (1923).

However, the most revolutionary is the presence in the duo brothers Adolf and Rudolf Dassler, who founded a shoe factory Dassler Brothers (Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory) in 1924. In the second year of the establishment of this company, they make a shoe with six or seven features snooker can be changed depending on weather conditions.

Although not changed much in terms of design and main ingredient, but the football boots have undergone significant developments until the time of the emergence of these companies. Especially the emergence Dassler brothers who will give a lot of revolutionary changes in the world of football shoes, into modern times today.
